The event “Los Golpes Hablan” (“These Wounds Speak”) was a digital photography exhibit benefit in aid of the “Hogar Ruth”. This event presented photos that were representative of the stories of women who have survived domestic abuse in Puerto Rico.
Inspired by the works of famous Puerto Rican painter José Campeche, the fashion show “Pintadas Por La Aguja” (“Painted By The Needle”) took place at the Puerto Rico Museum of Art for the benefit of the museum’s Artist Assistant Program. The event brought together six local designers: Lisa Capalli, Lisa Thon, José Raúl, Juan Colón Moda, Giô Díaz and El Figueroa. Musical ambiance was provided by Arturo Somohano’s Philharmonic Orchestra of Puerto Rico.
